@aeryn “discomclockulated” that’s an appropriate word! I’m with you on keeping to one or the other. My preference is GMT and let’s not have BST ever again… 😳

@adders busy, yes, but I bet even the squirrels at Lancing College haven’t learned how to find their stores of nuts… 🙂
@pel we’ve got one of those bright autumn days that calls you to go outside. That’s why the garden’s looking a bit tidier today.
@pel It was. I took advantage of the change from British Summer Time to GMT while the rest of the family slept on for an extra hour! 🙂
@Annie Yes, putting a restriction on something can lead to a more creative solution. Which something Austin Kleon says with some regularity.
@odd Thank you.
@Annie At a guess I’d say one system was designed to work with as many tools as possible, whereas the other system seems to have been designed to meet a cost limit. I see something similar when I’m collating information for a newsletter. One website provides me with all the data I need, whereas the official source only provides one element, and I have to use both to get the link to the latter - best to have the data straight from the horse’s mouth?
@hollie I like it 🤣
@Annie are you sure reasonable people know what they’re doing? Maybe they only appear to know and really they’re making it up as they go along, like most of us?
@pratik I’ve recently bought the new iPad Air 11”, Magic Keyboard and pencil. It reminded me that I’ve always found that the biggest thing that comes out of the box is frustration 😳
@pratik Commuting: not something I miss having worked from home for the past 24 years. Hope you get your parking space sorted soon.
@toddgrotenhuis I pour water over my tea leaves, and let them brew for at least three minutes … That’s not what you meant, was it? 😎
@miljko I’ve just opened it from the App on my iPad. Now going back to have a read…
@lmika Thank you for being nice. I enjoyed reading the post.
@patrickrhone indeed!
@Annie I read that in NetNewsWire. Thanks for putting out a guide about RSS.
@hollyhoneychurch isn’t she pretty? Of course, cats can apparate which makes moving from one place to another in the blink of an eye easy for them 😂
@pratik well done!
@Annie I like this.
@kalikambo MultiMarkdown Composer by Fletcher Penney. More information here: multimarkdown.com/composer/
I've been using for almost all my writing for years. The other app I use regularly is Drafts.
@toddgrotenhuis not sure I'd want to turn the steering off, or the brakes 😳
@hollie perhaps your friend should check out No Dig gardening. A visit to charlesdowding.co.uk might help. It's how I do gardening. I do a bit of weeding, dead heading, checking on what is left of the vegetables and cursing the slugs 👿 daily. 😎
@pratik first I'd reply that I have questions without listing them, then I'd have a breakdown brought on by the stress caused by the micromanagement.
If you provide all the information required in the spreadsheet, you'll probably spend more time on that than the tasks.
How have you managed to work for them for as long as you have?
@philbowell that's a good read. It re-ignited my interest in using notebooks.
